Reliability Leads to Trust

Have you heard these words before, “You can trust me; I’ll get the job done.”?

Unfortunately, you may have found yourself processing the disappointment of your reality when the work or services you depended upon were over promised with little follow through.  Don’t beat yourself up over it. I think we’ve been there at least once in our lives.

We all want reliability.  We desire to find people, products, and services that we can rely on to get the job done or do something for us that we cannot do for ourselves.  As we rise to the challenges that present themselves in our leadership, may we understand that reliability is the precondition for trust.

Are you able to be trusted with your leadership responsibilities when your life’s issues seem relentless?  Are you able to be trusted to do what you say?  Are you able to be trusted when walking into a new opportunity that would represent your organization well?  Reliability should not only be present when it’s convenient for you.  It is present even in the most inconvenient of times.  It is in those intense moments of decision that your actions and choices define you and not your words.  Reliability is the quality that leads others not to just believe you but to believe IN you.

You will do well if you make it a priority to be reliable.  It is the hallmark of a disciplined personality. That means regardless of your weakness you are intentionally focused and excel in strengthening your character.

When the words faithful and true are spoken may your name come up in the conversation as the definition.  Stay amazing.  And remember, it’s a good time to be you!

Peace and Joy,
